Informational index only. Not investment advice. Not an investable product.

Verify the index

You don't have to trust the published numbers. For every daily close since January 6, 2020, the units held, the divisor and the prices used are public, and the level is simply:

level = Σ (units × price) ÷ divisor

Units and the divisor change only at index events (rebalances, reconstitutions, corporate actions and removals), as described in the methodology. Prices are the 00:00 UTC daily values from CoinMarketCap.

Your browser downloads the state for the chosen day and does the arithmetic itself, in 40-digit decimals.

The state endpoint returns the units, divisor and prices for any day (?date=YYYY-MM-DD; latest close by default):

curl "https://crypto100.info/api/v1/indexes/C100/state?date=2026-11-01"

Python, using only the standard library:

import json, urllib.request
from decimal import Decimal, getcontext
getcontext().prec = 40

url = "https://crypto100.info/api/v1/indexes/C100/state?date=2026-11-01"
s = json.load(urllib.request.urlopen(url))["data"]
total = sum(Decimal(c["units"]) * Decimal(c["price"]) for c in s["constituents"])
print(total / Decimal(s["divisor"]))  # compare with s["level"]
